This planet is named after the deity Noum, the goddess of the sea.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 35 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature. Two of Noum's moons, Fyan'ceng Ch and Xyoshwei, are are quite unusually shaped.
Noum can easily be seen from Yuen-yingk with the naked eye, as can its blackish coloring. |
