Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Hekyu |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Hekyu and Ryumi Zogyo-me are cold planets rich in rock. This cold planet is named after the deity Hekyu, the messenger of the sea.
Hekyu is gravitationally locked with Kepler-1216 in a 5:4 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Hekyu are likewise similar to those of Earth, as is the tilt that produces the seasons.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 12 meters. |
