Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Puckne-fran |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This planet is named after the deity Puckne-fran, the spirit of love and beauty.
Puckne-fran's surface is a dry desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism.
Puckne-fran's thick clouds make observation of its surface difficult in ultraviolet light, and the first detailed maps did not emerge until the arrival of the Magellan orbiter 44 years ago.
The Puckne-fran system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. |
