Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Wangxyi Kyue |
Planet type | Large cold gas giant |
When viewed from Wenjyue, Wangxyi Kyue can reach an apparent magnitude of -3, bright enough for its reflected light to cast shadows, and making it on average the third-brightest object in the night sky. This planet is named after the deity Wangxyi Kyue, the creator of the underworld.
At this time it may appear as a bright star-like object, but is often far more difficult to observe than Wenjyue.
It was the one of the first exoplanets visited by a spacecraft, and one of the first to be successfully landed on.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 30 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature. |
