Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Munyago |
Planet type | Planet |
This planet is named after the deity Munyago, the goddess of hate.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 95°K (-178°C) at night to 980°K (707°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
As the closest planet to Amyutebya, Munyago has been a prime target for early extra solar exploration.
In late February 1700, Munyago was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Munyago's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Amyutebya. |
