Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Caapusmathe |
Planet type | Small gas planet |
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 135°K (-138°C) at night to 840°K (567°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 25 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.
This brutal planet is occupied by hostile stone-age aliens, the "Triara-the", which feed everywhere by devouring anything they find if they need to. They are believed to be related to the Thememedeia De and have wings and vary in size from 70 to 150 mm. Triara-the can live at temperatures from 80 to 140°C and even predators attacking. |
