Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Qubiru |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Qubiru and Hunij Ug are cold planets rich in gas. This cold planet is named after the deity Qubiru, the demon of the sky.
Its orbital eccentricity is the largest of all known planets in its solar system; at perihelion, Qubiru's distance from K2-3 is only about two-thirds (or 112 pct) of its distance at aphelion.
A prominent result is the "great blue spot", a giant storm that is known to have existed for centuries since it was first observed by radar.
One of this planet's moons is mostly dangerous because of the small and poisonous plants, the "Igul Udep", that spend their life alone while finding nourishment in the Falit plant during the day. Most of them are similar to the Tisuhe but have 8 legs and vary in size from 25 to 48 cm. The Igul Udep are known to live at temperatures from -70 to -30°C and also the high radiation level which is rare on this planet. |
