Suggested name | Mabpal-gelsyco |
Planet type | Hot planet |
The planet is named after the deity Mabpal-gelsyco, the spirit of war.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to K2-128, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 87 days.
Mabpal-gelsyco is a hot planet and is sometimes called Tonpro's "brother planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to K2-128, and bulk composition.
As one of the brightest objects in the sky, Mabpal-gelsyco has been a major inspiration in native folklore for as long as records have existed.
The Mabpal-gelsyco system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. |
