Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Bebtan |
Planet type | Warm planet |
This warm planet is named after the deity Bebtan, the spirit of hate.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to K2-126, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 174 days.
Bebtan's surface appears heavily scarred and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
Bebtan is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 587°K (314°C).
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Bebtan's strong magnetosphere.
Two of Bebtan's moons, Corke Lalene and Sida-hedus Cisco, are are slightly unusually shaped.
Bebtan can easily be seen from Umhyrmede with the naked eye, as can its greenish coloring. |
