Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Doraper Noe |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This planet is named after the deity Doraper Noe, the goddess of hate.
Doraper Noe is shrouded by an opaque layer of highly reflective clouds of sulfuric acid, preventing its surface from being seen from space in visible light. It may have had sulfur dioxide oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect.
The Doraper Noe system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. Observations from Earth have shown seasonal change and increased weather activity as Doraper Noe approached its equinox 9 years ago. |
