Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Geya-ryupo |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is the coldest planetary atmosphere in its solar system, with a minimum temperature of 30°K (-243°C), and has a complex, layered cloud structure with hydrogen peroxide thought to make up the lowest clouds, and xenon the uppermost layer of clouds.
As seen from HD 48948, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 14 meters. |
