Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Ryoijari Hya |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This cold planet is named after the deity Ryoijari Hya, the creator of fear.
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Ryoijari Hya's hazardous precipitation.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 13 meters. The volume of water detected has been estimated to be equivalent to the volume of water in the Black Sea.
The outer atmosphere is visibly segregated into several bands at different latitudes, resulting in turbulence and storms along their interacting boundaries.
Ryoijari Hya has been explored on several occasions by robotic spacecraft, most notably during the early Pioneer and Daedalus flyby missions and later by the Hawking orbiter. |
