Suggested name | Jupuuhyo-ryo |
Planet type | Cold planet |
It is a cold planet planet with a mass one-thousandth that of HD 189567, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. The planet is named after the deity Jupuuhyo-ryo, the demon of chaos.
When viewed from Gyopu, this proximity to HD 189567 means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning.
As seen from HD 189567, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two years.
Jupuuhyo-ryo is by far the hottest planet in its solar system, with a mean surface temperature of 239°K (-34°C).
Optical ground-based telescopes are typically limited to resolving features about 150 kilometers across when Jupuuhyo-ryo is closest because of Earth's atmosphere. |
