Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Mihoe Mathe |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This planet is named after the deity Mihoe Mathe, the demon of dreams.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to HD 158259, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 139 days.
Its orbital eccentricity is the largest of all known planets in its solar system; at perihelion, Mihoe Mathe's distance from HD 158259 is only about two-thirds (or 40 pct) of its distance at aphelion.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 30 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature. |
