Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Yuen |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Yuen is the only habitable planet orbiting HD 158259 and one of the oldest in its solar system. This cold planet is named after the deity Yuen, the bringer of the sky.
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Yuen's hostile surface conditions.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 8 meters.
The Yuen system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit.
Surface occupied by friendly but poisonous carnivores known to spend their life in caves while consuming the Kaiqyue if it is available. Most Enmying'q are related to the Baid, have 3 eyes and vary in length from 40 to 50 cm. Enmying'q are known to reproduce at temperatures from 130 to 200°C and sometimes intense weather which is common near the poles. |
