Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Wodyou Kye |
Planet type | Cold planet |
In English, Wodyou Kye is often referred to as the "green planet" because the water vapor prevalent on its surface gives it a strange green appearance that is recognizable among the astronomical bodies visible to the naked eye.
This planet is named after the deity Wodyou Kye, the messenger of the sky.
Wodyou Kye is gravitationally locked with HD 137496 in a 2:1 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
Having almost no atmosphere to retain heat, it has surface temperatures that vary diurnally more than on any other planet in its solar system, ranging from 75°K (-198°C) at night to 630°K (357°C) during the day across the equatorial regions.
Wodyou Kye's surface is a barren desertscape interspersed with slab-like rocks and is periodically resurfaced by volcanism. |
