Suggested name | Inosem-u |
Planet type | Large cold gas giant |
Inosem-u has been known to astronomers since antiquity. Inosem-u is similar in composition to Inyx, and both have different bulk chemical composition from that of the larger large cold gas giants. It is named after the deity Inosem-u, the spirit of good fortune.
Inosem-u is gravitationally locked with HD 128311 in a 4:3 spin-orbit resonance, and rotates in a way that is unique in its solar system.
Surrounding Inosem-u is a irregular planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere. |
