Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Enerur |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
This planet is named after the deity Enerur, the demon of chaos.
The polar regions are constantly below 198°K (-75°C).
It has the densest atmosphere of any hot gas giants, consisting primarily of water.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 26 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature.
There are ongoing investigations assessing the present habitability potential of Enerur, as well as the possibility of extant life. The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 10 meters.
A prominent result is the "great black spot", a giant storm that is known to have existed for centuries since it was first seen by telescope.
The surface of this pleasant planet is full of aggressive advanced insects called the "Cimexuj". They feed on the surface by consuming plants. The Cimexuj are not similar to the Welizo but with scales and vary in size from 31 to 70 meters. Cimexuj are able to live at temperatures from 70 to 170°C and even drought. |
