Suggested name | Tiste Fen |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Tiste Fen is the fourth planet from GJ 433 and the second-smallest planet in its solar system. Orbiting within Mnefran Liaq's orbit, Tiste Fen is an inferior planet and never appears to venture far from GJ 433; its maximum angular distance from GJ 433 (elongation) is 82 degrees.
Tiste Fen is the closest planet to GJ 433 and one of the smallest in its solar system. The planet is named after the deity Tiste Fen, the messenger of the underworld.
The planet telescopically displays the complete range of phases, similar to Venus and the Moon, as it moves in its inner orbit relative to GJ 433, which reoccurs over the so-called synodic period approximately every 180 days.
It has the densest atmosphere of the known cold planets, consisting partly of ammonium hydrosulfide (NH4SH). |
