Suggested name | Euan Arga Te |
Planet type | Hot gas giant |
It is a hot gas giant planet with a mass one-thousandth that of CoRoT-12, but two-and-a-half times that of all the other planets in its solar system combined. This planet is named after the deity Euan Arga Te, the bringer of the underworld.
Euan Arga Te's surface appears heavily bruised and is similar in appearance to the Moon's, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years.
It has the densest atmosphere of all the hot gas giants, consisting partly of nitrogen.
The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 30 percent of the planet and may be a giant impact feature. |
