Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Mepho-auto |
Planet type | Huge cold gas giant |
It may have had nitrogen oceans in the past, but these would have vaporized as the temperature rose due to a runaway greenhouse effect. The nitrogen has probably photodissociated, and the free neon has been swept into interplanetary space by the solar wind because of the lack of a carbon monoxide layer.
The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of dust. |
