Installation
Run PAPSInstall.exe and select where you want PAPS to be installed. PAPS is not a stand-alone audio editing program. It is a so-called Direct-X plugin, and requires that you have some kind of audio editing or multi tracking program like SoundForge, Samplitude, Vegas, CoolED or similar. Here PAPS should show up as one of the Direct-X plugins in the list.Usage
Load a sound into your wave editor. Then select PAPS. The following screen should show up:
Then press the Add button to insert an effect. In the future, more effects will be available.
When you've added an effect, you can modify it's settings using the sliders. PAPS offers it's own Load and Save Preset feature, so that you can exchange settings with your friends. When you save a preset, all added plugins and their settings are stored.
The plugin chain
One of the major advantages of PAPS is, that you can create and store entire chains of effects. You can add, remove and even switch the order of the plugins within PAPS. Here's an example of several plugins added to the list. You may even add the same plugin twice with different settings, if you like.
