Suggested name | Chujuhyu Ri |
Planet type | Cold planet |
Chujuhyu Ri has been known to astronomers since the medieval. This planet is named after the deity Chujuhyu Ri, the messenger of the sky.
Plans have been proposed for rovers or more complex missions, but they are hindered by Chujuhyu Ri's hazardous precipitation.
Chujuhyu Ri is the site of Robusto Mons, the tallest volcano and second-highest known mountain in its solar system, and of Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in its solar system.
The two polar ice caps appear to be made largely of water.
Optical ground-based telescopes are typically limited to resolving features about 495 kilometers across when Chujuhyu Ri is closest because of Rirya-ya's atmosphere.
Surrounding Chujuhyu Ri is a large planetary ring system and a powerful magnetosphere.
Its north and south poles, therefore, lie where most other planets have their equators. |
