Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Zanirur |
Planet type | Cold planet |
The planet is named after the deity Zanirur, the bringer of hate.
Like Ucylomu, Zanirur has been orbiting GJ 649 for @STARAGE billion years, and never exceeds 14 degrees away from GJ 649. When viewed from Ucylomu, this proximity to GJ 649 means the planet can only be seen near the western or eastern horizon during the early evening or early morning. At this time it may appear as a bright star-like object, but is often far more difficult to observe than Ucylomu.
Zanirur is a cold planet and is sometimes called Ucylomu's "twin planet" because of their similar size, mass, proximity to GJ 649, and bulk composition.
The latest probe to visit the planet is Pioneer, which entered into orbit around Zanirur after a very expensive trip.
The Zanirur system has a unique configuration among those of the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane of its solar orbit. |
