Fictional info (?) |
Suggested name | Yanzhwan'qed |
Planet type | Cold planet |
This cold planet is named after the deity Yanzhwan'qed, the messenger of war.
As seen relative to the fixed stars, it rotates on its axis exactly five times for every five revolutions it makes around BD+24 4697.
The volume of water ice in the south polar ice cap, if melted, would be sufficient to cover the entire planetary surface to a depth of 12 meters.
It may also have a rocky core of heavier elements, but like the other cold planets, Yanzhwan'qed lacks a well-defined atmosphere.
In late February 3000, Yanzhwan'qed was visited by the New Horizons probe, which used Yanzhwan'qed's gravity to increase its speed and bend its trajectory en route to Aidwan'nwaq. |
